Tho' much is taken, much abides; and tho' we are not now that strength which in old days moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are, - one equal temper of heroic hearts, made weak by time and fate, but strong in will: to strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

This has been a sad update for me, looking for pictures to illustrate Immortal's final chapter. This guild was a rebirth for Infinite Alliance and Undying, and though many of Undying have since moved on, that dream remained. But at the core of that dream was raiding - a chance to go places neither Infinite Alliance nor Undying would have seen by themselves. And we did it. We made it into Demiplane, we killed things together than neither apart could have done.

But recent events have taken that raiding away, and without it, the core of Immortal is left wanting, lacking the challenge to satisfy it. So it is with great sadness that we deny ourselves the title of social guild, choosing instead to close our doors.

To all members past and present - I wish you well. It has been an absolute blast being guilded with such stellar folks as you guys. Two and a half years is far too short a time to spend with you. Though I personally haven't been here the longest, I will miss you terribly nonetheless. You have been family, friends, and allies to me and I will never forget you. As this chapter closes, I can only hope you find new beginnings elsewhere. If you ever need me, I will be there as best I can, as countless of you have been there for me.

Farewell, Immortal. Sleep - you have done well.

Come, my friends. 'Tis not too late to seek a newer world.

Its July! West coast guild get-together went great, thanks for the pictures Xanril! IA went trekking through Txevu, something we haven't done for a year and found it to be a whole lot easier than we remembered. We may have to go kill Zun a few times for payback from the pain last year.

Lots of good stuff in the last month! An amazing Vishimtar attempt with 34, gets him to 23%. Sooo clooose! Welcome to new raid leaders Fllint, Alloran and Jiko! The push to get people keyed for ToB is going very well with a big dkp bonus for those completed by the end of the month.

Happy Mothers Day! We expected a low turn out with so many people doing family things, so called the 24-man raid off Sunderock, Vergalid Mines: Into the Leviathan's Lair. Tough raid, and the first run wiped with the boss at 52%. Second run went much better and wiped at under 9% when the area started to respawn. Good raiding!

To make use of all those newly minted Texvu keys, we have a romp through Tacvi. A somewhat messy start turns into one of those raids that you remember forever. On the Balancer, Zun Muram Kvxe Pirik, we all but wipe at around 30%. Somehow Faerez grabs agro and lives. The few healers rez who they can and keep him up. Leitt camps so those alive can fight to the death. The remaining DPS rallies and while those of us dead watch with our breath held, Bazile counts down the percentage health until finally ...3...2...1...0...he dies! An amazing win AND he dropped a Brutish Blade of Balance. Congratulations Killeverything on your new BBoB! Faeraz, our sincere thanks and recognition of your part in stopping what seemed a sure wipe.

Backflag O'rama finishes up the Txevu key with a successful Inktu'ta run. Go Tyronael leading one of his favorite raids! We figured out why the stonemites were extra buggy last time and this time it went beautifully. Congratulations to many completing the backflag.

Pink Out! Holy Healing Batman! Someone shook the cleric tree (I think it was Rowaan). That was the most amazing cleric turn-out! NINE main clerics and some additional alts. Now if only we had the tanks on to match. The pink ran crimson with blood, alas it was our own. Sendaii, we'll be back! Since we didn't kill the drachnid Queen, we killed the Cragbeast Queen instead as a silly target to wind down afterwards.
